What a joy to see more and more veterans release music again. This time, Roots veteran Sylford Walker has released his new album Good Encouragement on Sunvibes Music. The project, produced by Leon Cameron and mixed by Roberto Sánchez, dropped on May 10, 2024, and is available digitally and as a 2LP vinyl.
The album features ten tracks, including Generation of Viper, Burn Babylon, Lambsbread, Nice to Be Alive, and the title track Good Encouragement. Guest appearances come from Oba Simba on Brain Food and his cousin Rachaad Amarjii on Jah Golden Pen. The vinyl edition also includes dub versions of several cuts.
Backing vocals were provided by Rosie B and Tasha Fyah, with mastering by DJ Sappo. Recording sessions took place at Oba Simba Studio and Mikey Studio.
