Zamunda stays true to his path with new single “No One But You Lord”

Christopher Gayle (not the Jamaican cricketer), better known as Zamunda, has built his career on conscious lyrics and constant devotion to reggae’s roots. Born in Seville Heights, St. Ann, Zamunda started out deejaying at the age of five before discovering his voice as a singer in his late teens. By his early twenties, he had already carved out a name for himself with songs like Jah Love and collaborations such as Badda Than Dem (Seanizzle) alongside I-Octane.

Over the years, the energetic singer has released projects including Scripts & Scrolls (2017)  and Jah Love Surround Me (2023), always balancing traditional one-drop rhythms with a modern touch. His new 2025, 11-track, album My Truth, My Journey reinforced his reputation as an artist rooted in messages of upliftment and social awareness. A true Joy to listen to, and we love Zamunda’s rendition of “Tempah” (his interpretation of Anthony Redrose’s 1985 song “Tempo”). With his highly energetic performances on big stages such as Sting, Reggae Sumfest, and Summerjam, he remains a reliable voice of conscience within the Jamaican music scene.

Now, Zamunda returns with No One But You Lord, a prayerful track that highlights his spiritual side. This first track of the album is accompanied by a brand-new video, carrying his conscious message even further. And nothing lifts the World A Reggae heartbeat more than when it’s laid upon a proper Nyahbinghi drum. We can’t wait to see Zamunda more on stages world wide!
