Sizzla, one of Jamaica’s most prolific and enduring reggae artists, has built a remarkable career spanning nearly three decades, marked by spiritual depth and an unwavering commitment to uplifting messages. He now joins forces with Geneva’s Derrick Sound — the dynamic duo of Mr. Nico and Inspecta Derrick. Known for their energetic and original productions, the pair have been central to the city’s Artamis scene since founding the Evidence Music label with Little Lion in 2013. Their collaboration Jah Is Always Near is a heartfelt call for faith, unity, and strength, perfectly aligning with Sizzla’s Rastafarian convictions. The tune features on Derrick Sound’s forthcoming album Upliftment, dedicated to positivity and conscious expression.
