BARBRA STREISAND

Barbra Streisand’s Woman In Love, the lead single from her 1980 album Guilty, became a defining moment in the career of the American singer and actress. Written by Barry and Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees, the song marked her fourth Platinum-certified single and is widely regarded as her biggest international hit. It soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Streisand’s fifth, and to date, final, chart-topping single in the US. The track held the top spot for three weeks and dominated the Adult Contemporary chart for five, making it her sixth No. 1 on that list. Its appeal stretched far beyond the US, clinching the No. 1 position in multiple countries, including the UK. By the end of 1981, Woman In Love had sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide.
