If you were listening to UK radio in the early 80s, Bad Manners was everywhere on the charts. The band got together in the late 70s and rode that 2 Tone ska craze, blending infectious Jamaican beats with punk’s raw edge. Their shows were unforgettable — full-throttle chaos, crowd interaction, and an atmosphere that felt more like a carnival than a concert.

Now Aggrobeat has dropped this neat 7″ featuring their version of Skinhead Girl – that classic Symarip number, written by Roy Ellis and Monty Neysmith, – paired with Skinhead Boy on the flip. The B-side is actually something they cut back in the late 80s with Verona Davis on vocals (she’s worked with Stereo MC’s and Deltones). Skinhead Boy flips the script on Skinhead Girl, and Verona’s voice brings something completely different to the table. Both songs capture that signature Bad Manners vibe – hard-hitting, full of energy, and built to make you dance.

Skinhead Boy has never been available on vinyl before this release. The whole thing comes in a sharp gatefold sleeve with detailed liner notes courtesy of Lee Morris.
