Linval Thompson has been a significant presence in the reggae scene since the 1970s, initially making his mark as a recording artist. Subsequently, he evolved into a highly influential producer, lending his expertise to collaborations with virtually every major figure within the reggae industry. His distinctive, weighty production style is instantly recognizable across countless recordings, and his vocal delivery is equally characteristic, lending itself beautifully to both powerful, thought-provoking roots anthems and tender, romantic ballads.
