RIDDIM RELEASE

Hell A Go Pop Riddim, a vibrant resurrection of the classic Roots Radics riddim that originally anchored Cultural Roots’ 1984 Greensleeves album title track, has been digitally released by Irie Ites Records. The riddim is reimagined with lush, live instrumentation courtesy of The Ligerians, injecting fresh energy into the deep rub-a-dub groove. The EP delivers six cuts: five vocal tracks and one dub version, each echoing the spirit of roots reggae with a modern twist. Leading the charge is Capleton with No Sell Your Soul, a blazing anthem of resistance and integrity. His militant delivery and conscious lyrics urge listeners to stand firm against Babylon’s seduction. Micah Shemaiah follows with a soulful reinterpretation of Hell A Go Pop, paying homage to the original while adding his own depth. Rising roots reggae singer Young Kulcha brings Sweet Reggae Music, a tribute to reggae’s global reach and cultural impact. The riddim EP also features efforts from Chinese artist Stinging Ray, representing Beijing’s reggae scene, and seasoned Jamaican vocalist Little Kirk.
