Yaadcore has dropped his latest single, “Sitting in the Park”, a fresh reggae take on the Billy Stewart classic from 1965. Produced by Natural High and released in partnership with 12 Yaadcore Records. With this track, Yaadcore stays true to the roots while adding his own modern touch. Laid-back and easy, it’s the kind of roots track that makes you want to drift back to those original mid-sixties days.
The song, filmed in Bordeaux, carries a long reggae history. Alton Ellis gave the track its first reggae version, and now Yaadcore steps into that lineage, adding his own voice and perspective. It also shows how Yaadcore is maturing into his role as a singer and artist, building on the foundation of his earlier career as a selector and deejay.
“Sitting in the Park” is also the first release from Yaadcore’s upcoming 2025 EP, marking the beginning of his next chapter.
