London-based UK reggae label Stingray Records continues its ‘Revival Series’ with the digital release of the Caution Riddim. Originally issued in 2003, the riddim brings together a strong selection of conscious roots, social commentary, spiritual reflection and classic lovers rock.

The lineup is packed with familiar voices from Jamaica and the UK, including Luciano, Marcia Griffiths, Michael Buckley, Michael Rose, Morgan Heritage, Prince Malachi, Jah Device, Yashema McLeod and Tenna Star. Together, they give the project plenty of variety while keeping the focus firmly on the strength of the riddim.

As we’ve come to expect from the McLeod brothers and Stingray Records, the production is built around organic live instrumentation. Steady one-drop drums, deep and flowing basslines, and warm horn sections give the Caution Riddim that timeless roots and lovers rock feel. More than two decades after its original release, it’s a solid reminder of Stingray’s commitment to authentic reggae production.
