Although we wouldn’t brand it as reggae, we have to give this some love. Tarrus Riley returns with a brand-new single, “You + Me = Good Life”, produced by Remus Burrell for XTM.Nation. Lighthearted and soulful, the track is a modern soulful anthem layered with legacy and meaning.

The tune samples Cocoa Tea’s 1994 classic “Good Life,” originally produced by Remus’s father, the late Philip “Fatis” Burrell of Xterminator fame. With both Fatis and Cocoa Tea now passed, the song stands as a tribute to their impact, carrying their message forward through a new generation.

“You + Me = Good Life” blends smooth vocals, a laidback riddim by Runkus, and empowering lyrics that uplift women and celebrate real companionship. The video is directed by Sameel “Samo Kush i” Johnson.

Tarrus debuted the track live at Reggae Sumfest on July 19 with a touching nod to Cocoa Tea’s original. Now, the single is out on all platforms.

As Tarrus says: “You plus me—that’s the good life.”, Stream/Download: https://dubshot.lnk.to/GoodLife
